My newest earrings were beaded with diagonal peyote stitch which creates a two-sided beadwork. To create them I used size 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads in black, white and red; with one side finished in bright red and the other in a polka dot pattern in white and black. Once the beaded strip has been joined it creates a tear-drop shape which turns in on itself allowing for either of the sides to be seen at each end. The earrings measure 2.5cm across, have a 5cm drop and they are just under 1cm wide. All the findings are Stirling Silver and both earring are attached to a 1cm long ear wire with a wire guard and a jump ring which makes each earring just over 7cm long from top of the ear wire to the tip of the earring. I love how they spin around when worn.
